Paso Robles ("El Paso De Robles") is a vibrant mix of the past and present with a strong commitment to growth and progress. Agriculture continues to dominate the region with an emphasis on wine grapes. The wineries in this district are critically acclaimed and many operate tasting rooms that are open to the public which is helped with the formation of the Paso Robles Vintners Association. We are now seeing the hills that were once covered in almond orchards now covered in Vineyards and olive orchards. As the wine industry grows so does the olive industry with many events being held throughout the year. You can contact the Paso Robles Olive Festival for more information. In the mid 1800’s Paso Robles was popular for being a health resort with therapeutic hot springs. Paso Robles has attracted its share of colorful residents, from notorious outlaws like Jesse James and the Dalton Gang to the renowned classical pianist Ignace Paderewski. Paso Robles is also the gateway to the nearby Lake Nacimiento, and Lake San Antonio, a water sports enthusiast’s dream! Just 20 minutes from Paso Robles, the lake provides excellent water-skiing, boating, fishing, hiking, swimming, camping. Each year the city hosts the boisterous California Mid-State Fair, dubbed “the Biggest Little Fair Anywhere. Cuesta College has a small campus located in Paso Robles. ~ATASCADERO~ |

Atascadero,
founded as California’s first planned community in 1913 by E. G.
Lewis, was incorporated in 1979. It is located 17 miles inland from the
pacific coast and is midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco on Highway
101, about 220 miles from each city. Atascadero is also the home for the
Charles Paddlock Zoo located off of Morro Road at 9305 Pismo Avenue.
Atascadero’s climate is sunny and
moderate most of the year. Average high July to September is 93.9F, with an
average low of 50.1F. Winter average low temperatures are 32.9F and highs of
61.2F. Average rainfall is 17.31 inches, mostly from October to March.
Prevailing winds are from the Northwest. Summer days are wonderfully warm with
cool summer evenings as the city experiences the coastal influences.

Templeton
was fathered by the railroad, built on the main
highway between San Francisco and Los Angeles and in its heyday had a
reputation for its saloon brawls and wild ‘n’ rough street scenes.
Driving down Main Street in the rural community is like stepping back in
time. The tiny town boasts Old West architecture and a variety of businesses
catering to ranchers and farmers (including a few gourmet restaurants). New
buildings are being built, but always with an eye to the past.

Located about 5 miles
north of Paso Robles off of Highway 101. San Miguel was established in
1797 when Mission
San Miguel de Arcangel
was built. Today the Mission is still standing at 700 Mission
Street. In 2002 the Mission celebrated it's 200 year
anniversary! San Miguel is home to many vineyards and is on the path
for future growth in Northern San Luis Obispo County.

Creston is located East
of Paso Robles and Atascadero just off Highway 41. It has a long history of
being a Ranching Community and is becoming a popular destination for tourist and
bicyclist, hoisting the western states annual wildflower bike ride each
spring. Creston is enhanced with rolling hills and beautiful vineyards. It is
also home to one of the counties best annual Rodeo's.

| Santa
Margarita
is nestled in the foothills of the Santa Lucia mountains just South of
Atascadero. It is a quaint small bedroom community which includes the
Historic Santa Margarita Ranch. This rural towns population is approx.
1300 and features a Mediterranean climate There are many Antique shops to
browse through. The Days of The Dons Parade is an annual event,
celebrating the rich Spanish heritage of the town and is held every year
in September.
Santa
Margarita Lake
is located East of town off Highway 58, where you can enjoy camping,
fishing, and hiking or you can take a trip to the famous Pozo Saloon which
dates back to 1800's. You can learn more about this quaint area by

The picturesque
City of
San
Luis Obispo
is tucked in the foothills in rich California farmland and gently rolling
hills shadowed by ancient volcanic peaks. The city of 45,000 is the county s
seat, and is home to
California
Polytechnic State University,
Cuesta
Community College, historic Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, a beautiful and vibrant
tree-lined downtown, and the world famous Thursday Night Farmers ‘ Market
street fair. The charming shopping district features many historic buildings
housing a delightful array of stores—from fragrant shops featuring country
merchandise to big city clothing stores. Downtown is also a lively meeting
place, complete with outdoor cafes, movie theaters, and coffee houses. San
Luis Obispo also has a brand new $30 million
Performing
Arts Center
on the Cal
Poly Campus. Visitors from all over the world are charmed by the small town
atmosphere of San Luis Obispo, from the friendly people to the casual
atmosphere. The

~CAMBRIA~ |

| Located
at the foot of scenic Highway One/Big Sur,
Cambria
is the ultimate relaxation place. It is an artist's colony that is
surround by a forest of Monterey pines, and is just six miles south of the
world renowned
Hearst
Castle.
The climate is “cool Mediterranean” and offers clear blue skies, light
seasonal fog and temperatures averaging 50 –70 degrees. There are 30 bed
and breakfasts, inns and motels located amongst the pines, along the
beautiful California coast on Moonstone Beach Drive and in the center of
town—the choice is yours. You can also visit the Cambria
Chamber of Commerce.

~CAYUCOS-ON-THE-BEACH~ |

Cayucos
is a California Original. Located at the Northern end of Estero Bay. Born in
the days of Spanish land grants, Cayucos grew up with sailing ships and
steamers, rum runners and revenuers. Long, open, uncluttered white sandy
beach gives ample room for sandcastle-builders, surfs, sunbathers and those
who need tranquility to commune with themselves and the ocean. Watch the
otters and seals at play, if you want to live or vacation in a quaint
small community than Cayucos is the place for you!

~MORRO BAY~ |

Located about half way between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Its famous landmark, Morro Rock, was named by Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo when he
first charted this coast during his 16th Century voyage of discovery. The
Town
of Morro Bay
has a population of about 10,000 and is a working fishing village, the town is know as a pleasant tourist destination
which has very mild weather all year long. There is no such thing as
"traffic" in Morro Bay, unless, of course you count birds, sea mammals
and fish! It is also a National Estuary. You can learn more by visiting

| Pismo
Beach is
a seaside community located on the Pacific Ocean, is famous for having one
of California's longest and widest stretches of beach. You can ride your
horse or ATV's on the beach or attend the annual Clam Festival every
summer. Also included in this community you will find several county and
state parks, championship level golf courses, shops and outlet stores. The
marine environment lends itself to year-round highs between 60 to 80
and lows between 40- 50 degrees. You can always learn more by visiting the

~ARROYO GRANDE~ |

| The City of Arroyo Grande is located in Southern San Luis Obispo county. It is a farming Community that is expanding with new shopping areas and is the center on the local hub in the South County. Located South of San Luis Obispo the mild climates makes this an ideal area to live and for growing a variety of corps or lush gardens. It's quaint "Village" is full of a variety of shops and restaurants. The old buildings have been remodeled which adds to the charm of Arroyo Grande. It's earliest inhabitants were the northern or Obispeno Chumash Indians. |
